laptop problem

Default laptop problem

Hiya All,
I got a sony viao laptop fx 802, What happens is that whenever i start it the laptop and after a while the screen goes blank like some one has turned it off but the laptop is still on and then i power it off and turn it back on and nothing happens the screen is still blank and i have to carry this out about 10 times and then it turns on but then suddenly will go blank again.

check your power saving options also the time out section

could be a faulty connection, any chance you feel like poping the keyboard out and having a look

Power settings on windows would allow it to come back on, maybe a faulty BIOS power down setting

I have checked the power settings but how do i check it in the bios?
I opened it up last night and cant see anything burning/burnt but tell you the truth dont know what i am looking for?

Its more likeyly to be loose than burnt!

Load BIOS and leave the PC on, if it stays on in BIOS you know its software based.
