basically im lookingto buy a laptop to use around the home, mainly for the net but gotta be wireless!!!

just found these, 2 but TBH dont know a great deal about laptops, so am after some buying advice really

 

basically you want..

1) core duo processors or AMD 64
2) 1GB of RAM
3) DVR RW
4) Wireless enabled
5) light weight, not too heavy
6) good battery life
7) Graphics Card is probably not that important for a laptop so something around 128MB
8) Windows XP (upgradable to Vista)
9) Screen size is a personal thing but something around 15inch

Look for these things when purchasing and you wont go too far wrong.

 

so are either of the above suitable??

The Toshiba Satellite isnt bad but I would prefer 1GB of RAM, it only has 512MB

The ACER looks a better system. I would take the offer of double the memory on it though.

Personally I would buy the ACER.

 

any more opinions on these 2 systems from anyone?? or maybe somemone can recomend another
