Talking Should get the PS3 delivered today!

Will give a run down when it's been delivered and plugged in, for those interested.

Cool

People I have spoken to that have one have said that it is unbeleivably quiet (especially next to a 360) - The user interace is not as good as 360, and it is slightly bugged in places ( no doubt to be fixed through an update download). THe controller sticks still feel slightly light compared to the nice resistance of the 360 pads and no rumble feels odd.

THe motorstorm demo is apprantly very very good, and resistance of man is a winner.

RR7 and Resistance.

Have been in New York since Saturday (just come back yesterday) and you couldnt find one anywhere!!!! I was offered one however for $3k in one of the rob me blind electrical stores.... suffice to say that I passed (after seriously considering it) lol.

Saw the unit for the first time in use and it has to be said that the demo I saw (motorstorm) looked awesome. Can't wait to get it and plugged in.

Saw the Wii launch on Sunday and I have never seen anything like it in my life..... we saw a queue of about 1000 people waiting outside the Nintendo World store in NY!!! Nutters!!!

Walked in to the Toys R Us store in Times Square at about 8:30pm on Sunday and they still had about 30 Wii's left, but they had gone by the Monday morning. Could of bought one on Sunday evening, but with the UK release only around the corner and a pre-order in hand I thought better of it.

Hello

You lucky, lucky person! I had a whole load of people trying to get me one last week and there were not any around. Well, apart from as you say for about $3K!

I look forward to your report of RR7!

Be under no illusions.... I have paid over the odd's for this (but not $3k over the odds).

But I am a bit of a game freak.

I love the 360, so this thing has a lot to live up to!

Every where is sold out at the moment. Apparently stocks are being replenished on a weekly basis, but they are being sold immediately on pre-orders. I very much doubt they will be readily available until about the same time as the UK official launch...... then it all starts again over here. lol

Remember how long it took for the xbox360 to be readily after launch and of course the PSP debacle.

Tut tut, Sony will take a very dim view of this grey importing. I'd be surprised if there's not a summons on your doormat on Monday morning !!

They might just register on SN and leave him some negative reputation points.

Sorry guys.... it's 100% LEGAL to buy a PS3 outside of origin. I am not importing anything, just buying something that is already in this country.

Apparently PAL game software will run on any PS3 (and the same goes for NTSC titles). Same as the PSP. Obviously Blu-Ray stuff is region encoded.

I have also been informed that a computer exchange franchise company (shouldnt be too hard to work out who it is from that description) in the UK, now has PS3's in all their UK stores for people to see and play on for demo purposes.

Just been searching the net on PS3 related stuff and the Americans are going made over trying to get hold of these. Apparantly today is something the Americans call "Black Friday" and is basically like our New Year sales (remember it was thanks giving yesterday).

Rumours had been made that new stocks of PS3's were going to be in stores for today, but reports are flooding the net with stories of queues for stores (over 1000 people waiting in line) and NO PS3's are available anywhere.

To make it even more miserable for the american consumer, most of the stores are saying they do not expect any further units till after Christmas.

People are already speculating that prices for units on auction sites will go mental over the coming weeks.

The joy of hype!

Hope they don't use Parceline - took them 6 days to deliver two phones from Vodafone on a one day delivery service - we did end up getting good compensation though

No doubt you'll let us know your opinions
