Default Graphcs card.

Hi all,

I am looking to purchase a new PC and I am in deabte about what graphics card to go for can anybody help me??

The choices are;

256MB nVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT - Dual DVI,HDTV & TV-Out + DVI - PCI-Express

256MB nVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS - Dual DVI,HDTV & TV-Out + DVI - PCI-Express[upg £ 30.00]

2x 256MB nVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS - nVIDIA SLI Configuration[upg £ 45.00]

256MB nVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT - Dual DVI,HDTV & TV-Out + DVI - PCI-Express[upg £ 70.00]

512MB nVIDIA GeForce 7950 GT - Dual DVI,HDTV & TV-Out + DVI - PCI-Express[upg £ 100.00]

The PC will mainly being used for desktop applications as well as surfingt the web. I will not be watching movies or TV on it as I have a seperate DVD and tv for that, but one thins I will be doing is running this PC using my existing HD LCD monitor which is a Sony Bravia 26" with a separate input for both audio and visual signals from a PC - I take it also that this will be fine?

All suggestions and comments welcomed as long as they are positive!!!

Many thanks

Oh forgot to add, after seeing that reply, games are not a must but of course on those wet weekends where the scoobs is not a priority I may just dabble around with the odd PC game, but I will not be an avid 24 on-line gamer I am awaiting the PS3 to do that - I prefer Plug N Play consoles.

lol, tbh if your gonna play games go for the top spec one , although your pc will only be as fast as the slowest component the graphcs card is one of the more important areas.

That £100 was an upgrade price as well from the standard graphics card so no doubt that has already cost me some £££££ anyway. They do not let you know the value of the standard seperate card but shopping around on their web site (Mesh computers this is) it seems to be installed only at factory level on the more expensive machines. I was looking to configure my own PC and let them put it together. I will just have to wait and see how good it gets.
