Default Laptop Advice pls

Been thinking of purchasing a laptop for a while now, and to be honest dont, really know a great deal about them. Mum has been to tesco, and come back told me bout this 1
Unexpected error occurred - Tesco.Direct

is this any good???

or can someone recomend anywhere else to look to purhcase 1

my advice is dont get less than a centrino as far as a new laptop goes

just had a look on the laptop direct site, some crackin prices on there, all i gotta do now i choose one!!!!

which 1 is the better.

or is there somethin better to be had for around £400-500 of my english punds

Either of those will be more than adequate for internet + office.

You'll be somewhat limited in the games.

I'd go for the 2nd I think...slightly larger screen for DVD viewing and larger HDD.

dont really play games TBH

but if i was too, these would be no good u say??
2nd one is slightly slower processor tho??

Slightly slower processor but only just. I would say screen on the 2nd makes up for it.

Some games would be okay but it isn't a gaming laptop. For a gaming laptop though you could spend double the money.

IMO they are both decent laptops for a decent price.

1.5 hours battery life is not very good.

Ahh, didn't see that on the 2nd one.

Though If you get over hours on most modern laptops I'm impressed.

Check out the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo pi 1505. Dual Core Processor.

IIRC it was BEST BUY for under £500 recently. I got mine from Staples, great spec for not alot of $$$
