Default Ultra low cost Macbook Pro

Probably a mistake and probably only a few hours left to grab this deal.

Top end MacBook Pro for £949.

It is advertised on the web MacBook and I went to PC World today. In store they did not beleive the price. Checked on the web, cross-referenced, checked with store manager and had one in stock.

So I bought a £1699 MacBook Pro for £808.50 plus VAT.

I can't find it discounted anywhere else so I guess it is a head office error or they are being dumped.

It is not B grade or refurbished - brand new, sealed in box.

Think they've twigged. Now not available for delivery or collect in store.

David,
You lucky bugger! Very good deal indeed. Someone cocked up somewhere and you were able to take advantage of that

I know that the Core Duo's have been replaced by Core 2 Duo's, but I'd not have expected that much of a price drop.

When the Macbooks first came out I was in PC World and they had the old mac laptops (forget the name) in stock and they were still full price even though the macs had been out a month!

Pretty happy with my purchase - sitting here wondering why it has taken me so long to escape from Windows

Don't forget, should you experience a pang of madness and wish to use windows then the macbook will either dual boot into XP using Apple's BootCamp software, or you can used a VM solution such as Parallels Desktop for Mac.

They look like the last of the "last" batch Apple had out before the recent upgrades.

1GB RAM and smaller HDD

Still bloody good value, though
