Intel PROset wireless problem..?
When managing wi-fi via Intel's PROset wireless connection is very unstable. Have updated with latest driver and problem still persists.
If I use XP to manage wi-fi then everything is 'hunky dory', which is fine, however, I'd like to know what's made the default management go flaky..? Was ok for the first 3-4 weeks (new Dell Inspiron 6400, XP home, Linksys WRT54G, Telewest DSL).
As always, any help is greatly appreciated..

BTW have emailed Dell tech support, but I'm not holding my breath..

We use it at work - as I work for Intel (!!)..... Never have any problems with it. BUT we do all our wireless networking via the Proset interface NOT xp. If it helps I have version 8.0.0 on my laptop, which is an Intel issued IBM Thinkpad t42.
