How do I stop a window popping up on start-up?
#5
If none of the above works this is a sure fire way to cure the problem.
Go to the Start Menu and go to Run
type 'msconfig' and press return
Go to the right tab which should be 'startup'
Scroll down the list of programs which startup when the system is booted.
You will need to find out which one to uncheck, if you are not sure exactly, expand the command column and see where it resides and also try googling the name to verify.
When you reboot the next time you will get a message to say that settings have been changed, I believe there is a tick option to say not to show it again next time.
If you chose the wrong one and need to re-enable a program just do the same as above but put the tick back in. When you disable the line will remain there time and time again.
