Shared diaries using PDA's and macs..help
Need your big brains on this one I am afraid
Have a design studio in a large PR company.
They have both windows and mac servers.
All clients connect to a Windows SBS and either use Outlook or Entourage, depending on whether they are mac or PC.
Four directors (2 on mac , 2 on PC ) need to share their diaries to the main PA, so she can see where they all are at a given time and book appointments.
They also want to use some form of PDA to manage emails on the move, but also to sync their diaries.
Now in a total windows environment, that would be easy..Blackberry or an O2 device etc would work fine, however the Mac element makes it a bit trickier with public folders etc and the woeful client that is Entourage.
Does anyone know of a good solution that would make this possible, given the mixed OS's and the setup they have.
Help !!

Connecting to the SBS server is easy as Macs can access shares via SMB. As for the email Calendar side of things. Well, iCal springs to mind, not sure if it'd integrate with an outlook server (or whatever is being used for calendars on the PC side)

Cheers markus, will have a look.BUT..this only tackles one side of the problem...calenders on a mac connecting to an exchange server.
the other problem is the PDA side....are there any solutions out there that cover cross platform???

What PDA's are in use? Could iSync not be used to sync the calendar data with the PDA? Not to sure about email, as I don't think iSync handles that. However, if the PDA has wireless connectivity then they could possibly login to the server to gather emails.
I might have missed the plot here a bit though, so free free to call me a moron

I use "Missing Sync", as Isync tends to be for Palm devices (or so I thought)
My PDA (Pocket PC) syncs between Outlook and Entourage (and also then syncs to iCal)......
Not sure if this helps, but it is working though
