Hi - just drag the application from the finder window to the trash can.

To do a proper clean-up use a program called AppZapper

palm's software is a bit of PITA.
but first off:

1. make sure no programs are running, just finder and dashboard
2. Find the app and trash that (dont empty the bin just yet)
3. Go into users/~/library/prefs and trash anything to do with palm, look for stuff that has. apple.palm.plist etc
4. Go into users/~/library/application support and again trash anything to do with palm
5. go into system prefs, into user account, into startup items and untick palm desktop if it is there

Then restart and empty trash.
If it moans, then you may still have running processes, which have to be stopped using the activity app in utlities

also do a search using spotlight for palm stuff and trash straight from the spotlight fields.

should do the trick

Hold down option/alt when emptying trash sometimes removes locked files. It depends if they are locked or you dont have access permissions.
If it doesn't work, get info on the folder and down the bottom where it says ownership and permissions, open the details and if the owner is not you click the padlock if its locked and change the owner to you, then press apply to all sub folders and then try and remove.
