how much for one of these? Got a telephone cable that goes round the outside of the house & into phone/adsl socket. How easy/much is it to have a junction so it goes straight up the wall into a bedroom?

Piece of ****. Find the extension box in the house (shouldnt be hard) and punch in your cable on pins 2 and 5 (b/w w/b) then run the cable where ever you want and the extention box for upstairs shouldnt cost you much more than a couple of quid. Should even get them from B&Q I bet

cheers for that, i'll take a look. Only seems to be one of these sockets downstairs(port for phone & port for adsl) and nothing upstairs so i'll have to try this if we want a phone upstairs or else go wireless broadband

Technically it doesnt matter which way around this is.... its an Anologue line so theres no right or wrong way.

i thought it was illegal to temper with the master socket? thats why im reluctant to do anything with it as its the only one in the house
