I've just bought an Xbox 360, so what's considered the best on the system?

I was really into Halo, so something similar would be nice (is Call of Duty 2 a war version of Halo?). Counting down to Halo 3...

Nothing too tricky cos I'm a bit crap

Top Spin 2
Saints Row

 

Call of Duty 2 is a must play (yes it's WWII first person shooter)
PGR3 is the best racing game at the moment
Saints Row if you like GTA type games.
Lego star Wars II is out an about a weeks time

Call of Duty or Ghost Recon ?

 

I had the same dilemma, I went for ghost recon!

They're different types of game. COD2 is basically a ww2 fps, and ghost recon has a lot more stealth / strategy involved.

p.s. I reckon that pgr3 is one of the worst driving games on the 360 at the moment. You could do far worse than picking up a copy of Burnout...


Plus of course, Lego star wars next week

Gone for COD2 and Hitman to start with.

 

I would go for Hitman Blood money too. I'ts not specifically an Xbox 360 game, but it does have exclusive content for this platform. I have it on the std Xbox and -although still not as polished to play as splinter cell- it has a style and atmosphere all of its own and is very entertaining in a sadastic, calculating way!

The intro is just about perfect too! You'll not be able to get 'Ave Maria' out of your head having watched it.

Get battlefield 2 if you use Xbox Live, I cant recommend it enough. Hitman is a good choice as well.

 

Get condemed mate, I am about halfway through it and it is awesome. Plus its only £18 on play.com.

 

Ordered the games from Amazon, not got them yet...itching to play them, though.

Will look into Condemned. Don't want to get into xbox live yet.

Does anyone have any ideas for female friendly games? The wife has expressed an interest, but it must be quite easy. Something platformery?? She played 'Grabbed By The Ghoulies' quite a lot on the old xbox..

 

Top Spin 2 is a good 2 player game, its also a good one player game. Worth a try IMO.
