Default Problem with links in Outlook Express

Normally when you click on a link in an E-mail in Outlook Express, the website would come up in a separate window, but what's happening now is every link clicked on brings up a folder under the C drive.
What can i do to bring up the webpage instead of a folder?

hmm... i'm trying to think of a way to make it easier to understand. Maybe it's cause the IT mob don't know what i'm meaning.

If someone sends an E-mail with a website URL in the E-mail, what normally happens is that when you click on it, a new internet explorer window opens, bringing up the website in question.
What's happening just now is it doesn't bring up the webpage the URL refers to in the E-mail, but brings up a folder under the C drive.

Why is it doing this when it used to work fine before? What have i done inadvertantly to change this?

Help!!!
