Talking Odd Firefox problem

I have two PCs - on running XP HE one running XP MCE.

On the MCE PC I have a problem with Firefox. When I go to video sites like YouTube which use a windows media plug in, Firefox has the little jigsaw piece saying plug in needed. When I go to install plugin is says not found and recommends manual install.

All the usual plugins are there - and they are all installed. I have Windows Media, Quicktime and Real thingy all installed - and yet on this PC Firefox is not connecting.

On my other PC - XP HE - it is fine. Same version of Firefox.

Any clues?

Ta,

Rannoch

Done that - twice - same result.

Something seems to be blocking the plugins
