Default How do I get into the local services part of xp in the command prompt

As above I'm havin some problems with my wireless connection and windows keeps stopping my connection to the router, I phoned Netgear last night and He talked me through turning it back on in the services bit in the CMD prompt but I can't remember the text to type in, Also why does it keep stopping it when I turn the computer off??

Any help greatly appreciated

Chris

I know it sounds simple but have you right clicked the network connection icon and chose repair?

This will solve most problems!
And try to specify an Ip address on your machine
e.g.
(providing your router is set to 192.168.0.1)

Ip: 192.168.0.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.0.1

I've tried the repair bit and that didn't work when the tech helpline helped me last night we restarted the wireless bit in local services on the command prompt, but then its gone off again. when i type in ipconfig in the cmd prompt there is no default gateway and it's set to find it automatically as advised by netgear, how do i start it again?

%SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc

Or goto control panel, administrative tools, services
What network card do you have in your pc?
And have you set up your wireless net work using the wizard??
