Default How can i save all my outlook messages

Anyone ?

I have outlook express 5 and need to reinstall PC from scratch, is there anyway i can back up my messages and address book and then restore it.

I thought you used to be able to save them to a PST file and then restore, but cant seem to be able to do it.

Anyone help please

are you using windows 98 or windows xp? All you need is to save the contents of the folder "\Application Data\Identities\40DA-8B21-FB7AAAA4B6DB\Microsoft\Outlook Express" and then use the import fuction in outlook express to retrieve your messages. If you tell me what operating system you are using i can give you the exact location.

No it won't save your mail settings, to do that you have to go on tools>accounts> select your account and click export.

There is no easier method, without buying a third party tool.

Under WInXP you have to go under "Documents and settings", the name of your user, "local settings", "application data".......etc otherwise search for files that end with *.dat
