)It seems pretty configurable from the BIOS, but I haven't exactly been pushing it.
I also only have 2 SATAs connected, so I haven't tried using more than that.

Built a system today with one of these (nice board):

For the cheap-as-chips AM2 CPUs
6x satas
7.1 audio
gigabit LAN
runs up to DDR800 (DDR2's cheaper than DDR1 at the mo)
only prob might be there's only one IDE channel
Shop around and you should get it under £60
