I'm sure my motherboard has 6 SATA connections.
It's an Abit AL8 3rd Eye II

That looks nice and a good price, how do you find it?
(no smart **** responses like "I just open the case and there it is" )

To be honest, I wouldn't really know whether it was good or not.
It seems pretty configurable from the BIOS, but I haven't exactly been pushing it.
I also only have 2 SATAs connected, so I haven't tried using more than that.

Built a system today with one of these (nice board):

http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...7&GroupID=1526

For the cheap-as-chips AM2 CPUs
6x satas
7.1 audio
gigabit LAN
runs up to DDR800 (DDR2's cheaper than DDR1 at the mo)

only prob might be there's only one IDE channel

Shop around and you should get it under £60
