Question New messenger upgrade

Got mail from MSN re the latest Messenger Live or whatever the **** it is so upgraded ...................................... and lost all my ******* contacts !!
They're still there in my Hotmail contacts page but how do I export them to this new messenger?
I don't want to have to manually type all the email addresses in the "add contact" option.
Any help would be great,
Cheers

Paul.

Under file or edit or view etc, should be an option to 'export contacts'.

Then you can save the contacts to your HD, and import them again through the upgraded version.

Except in my case SOME of the contacts have appeared and I'm getting continual connections errors... weird.

Is it any good/any different?, 7.5 works fine so is there any valid reason to upgrade

Right I'm confused now and need help!!! Am I right in thinking that MSN 7.5 is now being replaced by Windows Live Messenger. I've just downloaded it and although I've kept all my contacts, I've lost all my emoticons? Anyone know how to get them back or should I just go back to using 7.5? (and how would I do that???)

I removed live messenger totally. Rebooted then downloaded 7.5 again. Once I installed it again normal service was resumed

Start - My Computer - Add or remove programmes - Remove (MSN Messenger).
