Default Quick Photoshop Question...

I have some text which varies in size across the page, but which is all one block of text. How can I vertically align all text centrally, instead of to the baseline? I only seem to have alignment options for the paragraph (i.e. left, right, or central - i'm looking for top, middle, or bottom (which is currently the default).

I'm sure it's simple but I can't find the answer anywhere Hope i've explained well enough... If needs be I can attach pictures

Why would you want to? Just move the text box to the centre of the page or where ever you want to place it.

You've misunderstood me - positioning the text on the page isn't the issue, it's formatting the line of text once it's in place. See images below - the first, is what I have, the second, is what I want to achieve, but without having to manually position the middle character

Ah, that makes sense

Not really sure, other than creating 2 seperate layers and using the align layer by selection / horizontal / vertical centres.

Quite simple really, highlight ONLY the 'A', then go to the character palette and lower the baseline shift value.....highlighted here.....
