BF2 - you can get the deluxe box set that includes BF2 & BF2 Special forces now, for circa 20-30 quid depending where you buy from.
All you need then is the Xpaks - Euro Forces & Armored Fury - both 5.99 via downloader.ea.com
Most of the BF2'ers have racked up anything from 100 hours play to 300+! since last July Obviously the students out there have racked up far far more

Yep, PC version for the win 
The 360 version has some nice maps - but doesnt play anywhere near as well - imho.

graphics chipset is one of these, ( am at work so just pulled it off the ibm website)

isnt battle field 2 only suported by certain graphics cards ?
I would check compatability before you buy it.
You also cant go wrong with counter strike which i waste most of my time playing
plenty of people play it at different levels which makes it easy to get into. Once you get good at it could join a clan and play some more organised matches.
