'Remote control' options
Guys, I'm off on hols in a couple of weeks, but need, ideally, to be able to 'control' one of the pC's in the office remotely. I saw a website recently that offered such a service, but can't remember what it was called.
Do any of you guys have experience of this?
Thanks,
Simon.

One they talk about all the time on the radio is gotomypc.com
The software I've used works over the internet so communicates on Port 80 (standard internet port) however it's worth checking with your techies if it will work.
Gotomeeting.com has a free 30 day eval however it is not a totally smooth system as the end user of the PC you want to control has to allow the communication. This will be a problem as you won't be sitting there and allow it to connect.

if you use XP Pro you could use remote desktop
would need to open port 3389 TCP and if leaving the port open to all make sure to set strong local admin and user passwords
would depend on the type of company etc and wheather you control the the firewalls, opening remote desktop port may make em a bit nervous, maybe logmein as well but have never used that package
