ALternative browser wont work with certain sites
My mr,s has a new lappy, we run firefox, and all is well ish
she uses a forum for mums, and it used to load fine, just recently when she tries to log in, it returns a 300 error. yet if she opens an Ie browser window it loads fine
she,s running firefox at the mo, (which weve iuninstalled and re installed)

The whole point of the web is the ability to pick up just about any computer from anywhere around the world and pull up a website.
BUT, there's a lot of ignorant "so called" web designers who create websites that only run on Internet Explorer. Unbelievably its a common problem - even the people responsible for BMW's UK websites are guilty of this as some of the database search results aren't coded correctly!
And don't even get me started on scalability!

yes this is a problem, some web designers dont code to stanards and think every user is running the same as them, its getting beter, in the mean time Firefox has a cool little plug-in which allows you to load up web pages in a IE tag within Firefox.
Firefox is amuch better broswer than IE, its a lot safer and runs much faster than IE, stick with it.

IE tab in Firefox, once installed just restart, then when ever you want to open a link in IE, right click select open in IE, jobs done.
give it a go see if it works.
