i hope someone can help, earlier today i tried to be clever and uninstall some programs from my laptop that i never use, and didn't seem to have been used since 2004.

but all my pics from My pictures that had gone on via my camera have disappeared, the scanned images are still there.

i've searched for them, thet're not in the recycle bin, and i've used system restore twice to go back to last week, all the programs seem to be back in place but the pics are still missing.

are there any programs to search for deleted files, as i understand it they remain somewhere in the computer till the memory is needed.
