just kinda clocked on that theyre gonna need AA batteries. how long do they last? I bet thatll add an interesting twist to playing as they slowly die and you slowly come to a halt with a dead controller....

you can't use Xbox controllers on the 360, The 360 uses USB connection for wired controllers and even if you have an xbox control to USB it doesn't work. The 360 controller has extra sholder buttons and the guide button in the centre.
The AA batteries won't be a problem because buying the play and charge kit is a must, you get the cable and a rechargable pack that lasts around 30hrs. When the controller lights do a little dance you can plug the cable into the controller and charge it while you still play. Switch off the console and it goes to a standy mode where any connected controllers will finish charging then the console will power off.

cheers for that
ok so if theres 2 of us, im going to need to get 2 rechargable battery packs & 1 play and charge kit?
edit: ok thats what was confusing me, lack of full pics & descriptions in these websites.
A play & charge kit contains both wired charge connector and rechargable battery.
So if there is always going to be 2 of us playing i need 2 play & charge kits (as theres not much price difference)

I run 4 controllers from 1 play and charge kit. It's only once in a blue moon that two controllers go flat at the same time.
Play and charge you get the cable + Battery and then you only need the battery for the other controllers.

i believe Microsoft claim the batterys have 25hhrs of play.
I brought the plug and play and a extra battery and mainly rotated the controllers, whilst using one, the other was charging. But last week MS released the new stand-alone charger [plugs in to the mains] it comes with one battery and has the ability to charge two at a time, best of all only £20. Plus it doesn't mean your console's running on stand-by.
