Compressed Backup
Recently I've been working on a Fedora Core 3 server for home which just serves media to various workstations in the house. The samba shares are all set up and I can read and wirte etc. to an external hard drive on the Linux.
Ideally I would like to back my itunes library up and store it remotely just in case . So my question is whether or not it is worth compressing to whole library or not (currently about 40Gig of music in total)?
Any feedback much appreciated,
jrxrs
