Looking at getting a couple of DL585's however if you run DDR400 you can only get a maximum of 32GB of Ram, however if we drop the memory speed to 333Mhz then we can get 64Gb of Ram in it.

How will it effect the bandwith though?

AMD state in a 2p box its 12.8GB/s with DDR400
and in a 4p box 25.6GB/s with DDR400

Yet I cant find any stats for the 333.

Also what effect will this have on the FSB speed??

The FSB shouldn't be affected - it should just use a different ratio to set the RAM speed. Thats how it is done on most AMD systems I've used.
