No trust me this is what you want. We have them hooked up to our iPods at work and these are brilliant. Great sounds out of something small that charges the iPod at the same time

If you're not sure check the reviews in the Mac magazines.

I used the JBL ones Allan suggests in Prage in Feb. Sounded great in our apartment and don't take up much space in your luggage. Charges your iPod too although you have to have them plugged in to a socket, so may not be ideal for a poolside.

Another vote for the JBL mate. Got a set of them in the conservatory and they sound great, and like the others say it always keeps your pod charged.

After listening to both I got the Logitech. Wicked speakers. Although a busy Apple Store probably isnt the best environment to test sonic capabilities....

Thanks for all the tips anyway.

my suggestion is either MM50 as above or iRhythms (sound the best for a small unit.

http://www.essentialipod.co.uk/product.php?xProd=2253

mm50's are the most portable though and have a neat little remote and are cheaper

ps - almost all ipod speaker will charge your ipod when they are plugged into the mains.
