Unrecognised DVD drive
I've added a new DVD drive to my PC, but it isn't being recognised.
The other DVD drive is the master and connected to no 1 on the cable. I've tried the new one as Slave & cable select, but neither works.
The setup screen (bios) recognises both drives on the IDE channels, but windows just isn't seeing the new drive.
Any ideas ?

To be honest you should always make the newer faster drive the master anyway...

They're both Sony's
I think the older one is actually faster, it's only a few months old - it's a reader & the newer ones a writer.
As it works like it is, I think I'll just leave it until I'm bored one evening....
Thanks all
