Anyone know of a decent free html editor?
Also, has anyone added a site search facility to a site? I found a demo of a programme which generates code to add to your page, but it's just didn't work.

cheers

You used to get a cut down version of front page with windows likewise Netscape used to ship a freebie one with it's browser. Have a look on www.download.com or use notepad.

Searches may depend on underlying technologies, for example front page extensions.

Regarding the search facility, you'll find something here.

Or you can use Google's search technology specifically for your site, I believe.

I use EditPlus as an editor for all things web related at work.

If you don't pay for the licence, it simply has a reminder when you start it up. It lets you use it long after the 30 day trial has ended. I eventually bought a licence, so it can't be that bad (much much better than Visual Interdev that they have at work).
