Default DVD Authoring

Can anyone recommend some decent DVD authoring software, I've tried downloading lots over the last few days, but all in all they're pretty much all useless, all I want to do is put a few of my avi/divx files onto a DVD disc perhaps with a menu screen that will play on a standard DVD player.

VSO's ConvertXtoDVD is the best I have used by far. Nice, simple and fast.

When converting xvid/divx files. Make sure you have these CODECs:

Mpeg-2

Divx/xvid/mpeg-4

without those you will not be able to convert.
