Guys,

For any developers out there.

If a customer asks you for a change to software, do you provide them with a change specification explaining exactly what you're planning on doing based on what they've asked?

If so, would ou mind providing me with a copy of this document.
Of course removing any sensitive information.

No brainer - you have to cover your **** every step of the way.

Very important, especially the number of times the average customer requests changes and new features when you turn up and demo the first prototype!

I normally just email them them the updated quote with new spec, prices and timeline, along with a request to sign and return to me before proceeding.
