Tesco voip ??
Anyone used the tesco voip set up ?? noticed that they now sell the telephone handset + software for just £15, but although the prices for calls look good I notice you only get free calls to other tesco voip users, is there any voip sets ups that give completely free calls that offer good enough performance ??
used a set up a good few years ago whilst using dial up and although the systmn worked the amount off echo / delay with the systmn convinced me to stick to the regular landline phone !! have things changed for the better ???

VoIP has improved greatly, I was working with a telco who were rolling it and really you only get decent performance if you can manage the bandwidth and ideally you want a backbone straight into a VoIP provider then it *can* be very good. That said their offering like Skype is ok for most residential users.

Skype is getting better and better, they now have over 94,000,000 users!!! Clear as a bell on my 2meg connection, file transfers are a waste of time though.
