Cool Advice needed re: new monitor

I've currently got a 19" CRT monitor that's on it's last legs and needs replacing, I'd quite like to replace it with a similar sized LCD one, on the grounds that it should a) take up less space, and b) kick out a bit less heat, our office/study/broom cupboard isn't the biggest

However, what I know about this sort of thing can be written on the back of a postage stamp in rather large letters, so any help and/or advice on what to look for, where to buy, or what to avoid would be gratefully welcomed.

If you like gaming, you need a low response time, abut 10ms or less. This is a good one http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=83914

or you might get away with a 17" as a 19" CRT is only a little bigger than a 17" TFT and costs a lot less e.g. http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...uct_uid=105229
