Default 2 ipods, one computer, one itunes

Have my 60gb jobbie that fully syncs and all works happily.

Want to add 2nd ipod (nano).

Want all songs in my library availaible for both ipods.

Can both be plugged into computer at the same time?

IF I use 2nd XP login (g/f will use nano most the time), can iTunes work so that any songs she adds or buys is available in BOTH libraries and vice versa. If this is done, can it still be plugged in on my login ans still sync etc ok??

thanks in advance

I have a similar situation. I use a single login, then use the checkboxes to select which songs go on the Nano. I have the Nano set to "only transfer checked songs" and the big iPod set to transfer all songs.

It's by no means ideal because the play counts are all wrong if you have two different people using the two iPods, which means the "25 most played" and "highest rated" are always screwed. You'd like to be able to have separate logins on the same computer and point at the same library but run separate playlists, etc. but I'm not sure that that's possible.

Just set the nano to be manually updated, then you can just drag and drop your music onto it as you wish

Been wondering about this - was thinking about getting the Wife a Nano and hoped iTunes could have "profiles" set into it.

Right. Nano for G/F will be used on her login. Now, if she created her own iTunes store account will all her songs (purchased or copied via CD) be showing on my login of iTunes as well?
