BF 2 / 850 Radeon problems
Can anyone help me out here? My fully updated BF2 used to run ok at 1024 x 768 (with all except textures on medium and 4 x AA) but I thought as my X850 Radeon should do better, I changed the resolution / settings. Now every time I try to play, the screen is corrupted – very blocky or pixelated / different colours on the textures etc. I know my 3400+, 2 gig RAM, X-Fi, Raptor system is good enough but it doesn’t want to work for some reason. Even reverting to the old settings doesn’t seem to work. I’ve updated to the latest catalyst drivers and checked that the card wasn’t overheating yet still nothing…….

You need to remove the 'cache' directory under 'My Documents/Battlefield 2' (it is under one of the sub dirs) this contains the graphics optimisations - do this everytime you upgrade your Gfx driver and/or card..
Hope that helps.
