Remotely playing sound on another pc on home network
I have a cctv camera connected to a pc with software that detects motion, as an option it can launch a program (or batch file) when it detects movement.
Ideally i would like to somehow get this to play a sound on the pc in my bedroom, so i am alerted to any movement on the drive. can anyone suggest a way of achieving this?. i guess something like a remote command line utility would be the solution?
Cheers

you could get the pc to schedule the command..
assuming it has the rights you could do
at \\computername \youneedtocheckthesyntax
or just do a search for launching a process remotely using vbs..
If you get stuck drop me a mail and Ill send you a script that you can launch to do the same.
