From: Was Wakefield, now London
...I recently sent an email to someone and received a reply from their mail service that required me to verify that I was indeed a real person
and not a spammer/machine/robot (delete as appropriate
)
Anyway - I can't for the life of me, remember what the service was. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

Some anti-spam software allows you to challenge a recipient to confirm they are indeed authentic. I think this feature is being replaced by better scanning techniques in newer software. Symantec Brightmail has about the best rate of identification Ive ever come across in a piece of AS software, it rarely pulls up any false positives.

The only reason why i mentioned them is because i have had e-mails (incorrectly!) blocked by them when trying to contact customers.
Oh, and Demon (as an ISP) provide SPAM blockers for free.
