What software has installed the virtual drive? Sounds like the mcse software installed originally from drive K and now is looking for the disc in that drive still. You should be able to either reinstall it from your dvd drive OR remap your dvd drive back to be K or remove the virtual drive so the dvd becomes K again. If you are running xp you can assign drive letters through the disk manager.

Sounds like the seller has copied the discs and used a virtual disk driver, like dameon tools or alcohol to get around the protection You probably need to look at the settings in either daemon tools or alcohol.
