Default B/B Connection troubles

Anyone give me a pointer. My connection keeps failing, i give the cable a waggle in the back of the pc and it comes back on. Then it goes off again.

Its starting to annoy me big time.

Took me 10 minutes to get this thread up thats how bad it is.

Ta, John

Sounds like the cable is knackered. Sorry to state the obvious.

If its a USB cable try another, if it does the same its the socket!

If its Ethernet, then unplug the cable and swap the ends round, IE: PC end into router and vice versa.

If its a modem cable, then try another cable off your telephone.

If its an ethernet or modem it could be the card has come loose from the PC but I would say it isnt this as usually the pc will reboot if a card is loose.

Let us know how you get on.
