OK, here's the story so far...

I'm running XP Pro with Internet Explorer and have AVG anti virus and Sygate personal firewall. Everything is fine except for the odd virus attack. Reading the antivirus thread on here I thought I would ditch AVG and try Avast.
Deleted AVG installed Avast and everything seemed fine until I tried to access eBay. Each page took ages to load and none of the pictures came up. Amazon was the same, Scoobynet and everything else fine.

Suspecting it was a problem with Avast, I uninstalled it. The problem remained. Then I reinstalled AVG and everything was fine again.
I then uninstalled AVG and installed a trial version of Kapersky, this wouldn't let me access the internet at all!!
Uninstalled Kapersky, reinstalled AVG, everything fine.

What am I doing wrong? I suspect it might be something to do with the Sygate firewall.

Any ideas?
