Default Pioneer to cease production of oem burners

Just read a report via an earlier link that states Pioneer are to cease production of DVD burning drives, so if you want one, i would suggest you get shopping.

I've managed to get a 110D ordered today, based on the reviews here, so I,ll give it a whirl tonight

Do you have a link to the report?
If this is true then maybe the next thing to get is an NEC. Unless they are going the same route.

This was the link i followed, i may have been incorrect (sorry)

http://www.tomshardware.com/2005/12/...eds/page3.html

Although i got mine via Novatech, it was an unboxed unbundled unit.

You Great big idiot Mart

Never mind. It refers to Pioneer not selling the Retail Boxed version any more. It appears they are just selling OEM products from now on. It's an easy mistake to make.
