ISP with seperate pop3 email accounts?
Hi,
My 12 months are up and I want to switch away from BT BB as they're too pricey. Tried the 'I want to switch - what price can you give me?' with them and the Indian call centre couldn't .....
BUT I need an ISP which has seperate pop3 email accounts, the sort of info they don't give you when they try to sell you their package. Tried Tiscali and they said, 'you can get OE to direct emails to seperate inboxes' ... 'so you don't have seperate accounts then???'.
Anyone point me in the right direction?
Cheers
Dave
PS: I have a Hotmail addy but I believe they don't work with OE or Outlook anymore unless you pay. Is gmail free and does that link up?

Getting a pop3 mailbox is not expensive. 123regs cheapest hosting+email package is £1.59 per month. You get some webspace with that and 15 POPboxes...
You can then forward any mail from any other domains or specific address to other POP3 boxes.
Not really sure what you mean't by "BUT I need an ISP which has seperate pop3 email accounts..."
Basically you need a POP box not attached to the ISP your are getting your broadband from.
Easily do POP3 boxes for £10 a year....

Hi,
What I mean is, the isps say you can have up to x email addresses. At the moment with BT I have the main one, say main@btinternet.com, and have created at least one more, say wife@btinternet.com. These are seperate boxes. Some isps, Tiscali for one according to their sales line, let you create two or more seperate email addresses BUT mail to all of them goes into one box. You then have to filter them yourself. I want the BT way ....
Clearv as mud ..? Thought so ...
Cheers

ps: oh, I don't really want to have to pay more than the monthly fee as this negates going to a cheaper supplier in the first place ...
