Default hiding ip addresses

i heard people talking about hiding addresses

what is it ?

why do you need to do that ?
and how do you do it?

You can hide it by using an anonymous online proxy server to ping sites. If you couldn't hide it, there would be no successful hackers in the world

They don't hide any address, since that is impossible. You can disguise your own (but a record may still be left at the host you go through) but, disguising one's own wasn't the question The originating IP is always available at the first hop, at least for the lifetime of the connection.
