I'm installing the 7610 Nokia PC Suite so I can link uo my mobile to my PC.

I've installed the cable driver and then the PC suite.

Can't work out how to look at my photos and copy my contact details to PC to make a hard copy!!

Help!!!!!

When you installed the NOKIA suite you should have had 2 icons created to where the clock is. When you connect your phone up, Windows should then detect the phone and you can use the nokia suite icon which will display things like, backup, synchronise etc...

I take it you rebooted your PC after the install before trying to plug in the phone?

Yeah, I rebooted the PC, no avail!!!

I've just uninstalled the cable driver and PC suite software, going to install it again in a minute!

Right!!!

Installed the cable driver and PC suite software again! Get a bubble at bottom right near clock 'new software found - Nokia 7610'.

Opened up PC suite and the phone was there. While trying to connect the PC to the phone to backup files the connection was lost. I didn't move the phone or unplug it????????????? Any ideas why this is happening?????

Get this sometimes too with my 6230i and Data cable. The only other method is to get hold of a bluetooth dongle and transfer your data that way.
