Default viewing user/file locks

How can you see who is accessing a file that is creating a lock? I want to move a file over but its being accessed by someone

Is this on a Windows?

If so,
Open compmgmt.msc on the file server and go to System Tools\Shared Folders\Open Files. This lists all the open files on the server by user. Just right click on user and select Close Open File

Obviously give the person a call first and ask them if it's ok to boot them out of the file, lol!
