Best place to buy Mac graphics card - X800 ATi
I am starting to fancy the ATi X800 card for my G5 Powermac. Any pointers to how much I should be paying?
Many thanks!!!

Thanks Allan. Having been pointed in the right direction, looking at getting one from the US - £260 delivered so if you can do better than that, marvellous!

Why are they so dear ?
£99 on ebuyer for a x800 GTO 16 which has the same chipset as a X850XT and 16 pixel pipelines.
Whats so special about the apple mac one ?

This may be a bit obvious but make sure you know what card you are getting, I can't remember which way round it is but there is PCI-X and PCI and PCI express (I think) so getting the wrong is a possibility....
I think the G5s are straight PCI.
I just remember getting the wrong one for a PC and thinking, oh well it'll fit in my mac and it didn't. Just a FYI really....
