Default No access to SSL sites!

Help!

For some reason I can access any sites that use SSL on my laptop. I've checked that my browser is set to use the right protocols. The only thing I can think is it's something to do with my wifi network. My desktop upstairs works fine, but that accesses the network via an ethernet cable.

Any ideas?

TIA

Is your firewall blocking port 443? (default for SSL)
