Help !!!
have just purchased a usb data cable for my little sagem my c5-2 flip mobile phone, data cable came with the usual cheap and cheerful disc containing the driver software for this usb data cable and also a few programmes for transferring ringtones / wallpapers etc from pc or disc to phone.
okay plugged in the usb cable and the pc showed new hardware found, ran the disc but the new hardware found page on the pc failed to find the driver for the usb cable, it searched cd rom etc but nothing found in way off driver software.
so okay where now ?? can I download a driver from the net for these usb data cables ?? feel sure they must be a common software programme because once before when I ordered another usb cable from another source the supplied software disc was exactly the same as this one I have here. never did get around to installing that cable and disc at the time but have now tried this other disc but get the same problem with that one also ie. usb data cable found but could not find driver for this hardware.
anyone help me out ?? one other problem is that the ancient packard bell pc that I have here only has the one usb port ( honestly !!! ) can I download the neccesary software if it is available on the net and then plug in the cable and match it from there ??
reason I ask is because the instructions on the disc advise you to hook up the usb cable first and then run the disc so this would obviously be using the only usb port that I have ie. no space for the modem one !!!
thats it !! hopefully I have described the problem okay ??!! feel sure that someone will have come across this very problem before and can maybe point me in the right direction - would certainly be much appreciatted !!!
cheers

Okay a couple of questions first:
Which Operating System are you using?
The USB cable you bought. Is it a proper Sagem one?
Is it definately for the Phone you own?
It sounds like the CD may not have your Model phone on it.
The driver disk will be to recognise the phone and not the cable. But it also dependswhat O/S your ancient PC is running.
