HP2550L + OSX 10.4 - printing issue
Hi guys,
Need to pick your brains - got a HP 2550L colour laser printer on an Airport network to my Macs.
when I try to print though - the printer says that it's stopped. I try to start printing, and it stops again!!!
However, on my colleague's mac it works fine
Any ideas?
Dan

Fire up Console, make sure System and Console logs are open, click the Clear option (little picture of broomhead) then print to the printer and see what, if anything, pops up in the logs.
Try removing the printer from Print Center and adding it back in again.
There is an update for Airport Express and Airport Extreme and Airport Express and it mentions it addresses an issue with printing through base stations, so that might be worth a shot.

I've had this loads.
Go to sys prefs->print & fax
Click on the printer in the list on the left and click 'minus'
now click plus
ignore anything it selects and press more printers.
Select the approrpiate option in the popup i.e HP Usb
Then click Add, make sure only one is in the list.
It should now work.
For some reason it does this now and again... Real pain. The above fixes it for a while though

Well, I think I've found the problem (not sorted it, but that will wait!!)
It is my Airport Extreme. I've reinstalled my old Airport Express and all is OK
So I just need to have a look at the settings for the wireless printing
