Just NEVER try to re-install Half-life 2, son of a gun is taking hours to update through source, CS is ready to play in 113 minutes apparently...

Seriously though, IIRC the option is in there to backup.

It's not a backin up issue I don't think. It is updating CS thats the problem. I hadn't played it for months and it appears to have undergone a revision whilst I've been away, seems to have hung at 84% for ages despite having a 2mb link.
